Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Which techniques are used?
We use modern techniques such as the R24R rapid recovery approach and the dual-plane method with anatomical implants for breast augmentation. In selected cases, we also apply tissue-preserving techniques.
What kind of implant do you use?
We use anatomical breast implants, also known as teardrop-shaped, in most procedures. In some cases, especially when it is the patient’s preference, we opt for round profile implants.
What is rapid recovery?
Rapid Recovery (R24R) is a technique designed to minimize downtime after surgery, offering greater comfort and a quicker return to daily activities. By combining modern surgical methods with anatomical implants placed in the dual-plane position, this approach reduces muscle trauma and allows for fewer restrictions during the postoperative period. As a result, many patients experience less discomfort, a smoother recovery, and can resume their routines with more confidence in less time.
How is the surgery performed?
The surgery is performed under anesthesia, in a hospital setting, using advanced techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness. The implants are introduced in a dual-plane position, meaning they are placed partially beneath the muscle. This approach minimizes trauma, provides more natural results, and lowers the risk of complications such as infection or capsular contracture. During the procedure, we also follow a strict ‘no-touch’ protocol to avoid unnecessary handling of the implants, further increasing safety and reducing postoperative discomfort.
What care is needed after surgery?
Postoperative care includes minimal rest, the use of a surgical bra, and regular medical follow-up. Most patients can return to light daily activities within a short period, but physical exertion and exercise should be avoided during the first weeks. Wearing the postoperative bra is essential to support healing and optimize the final result. Sun exposure should also be avoided to protect the scars, and follow-up appointments are important to monitor recovery and ensure everything is progressing safely and as planned
How much does breast augmentation surgery cost?
The total cost of breast augmentation includes the surgical team’s fees, the breast implants, and hospital expenses in some of the most renowned hospitals in Rio de Janeiro. In general, the investment ranges between USD 4,200 and USD 5,200. More than a procedure, it is an investment in confidence, self-esteem, and well-being. In addition, consultation fees are USD 85. A personalized estimate is provided after the consultation, according to each patient’s needs.
